Goldman Sucks

Friday 30 October 2009: Chris Knight and the Government of the Dead returned to the streets of London to pay investment bankers Goldman Sachs a pre-Halloween visit.

Along with them came a giant Vampire Squid, two ghosts and an Easter bunny armed with semi-automatic water pistols.

The Labour Party is the party of organised labour.

Our aims have not changed since 1918: "To secure for the workers by hand or by brain the full fruits of their industry and the most equitable distribution thereof that may be possible upon the basis of the common ownership of the means of production, distribution and exchange, and the best obtainable system of popular administration and control of each industry or service." What’s the ideal name for the new party of the working class? You’ve been bombarding us with ideas:

• The Gordon Brown Nightmare Labour Party
• The Walking Dead Zombie Labour Party
• The Astonishingly Resurrected Labour Party
• The Radioactive Mutant Labour Party
• The Monster Raving Loony Labour Party
• The Street-Fighting Direct Action Labour Party
• The ‘Bash-the-Rich’ Anarchist Labour Party
• The Cataclysmically Violent World Revolution Labour Party…

In the end, however, we decided to call ourselves, very simply,

“THE Labour Party”
